where the fuck are you ???

Fucks***k were meant to be our very special guests on the 44'stival in Glasgow on the 8th August 2001, everyone waited for them in the utmost tension, but I already knew the sad truth and did not even dare to say anything.

Here is the shattering document I had received a few hours before: Fuckstick RIP.

Now at the instigation of John from Mouthmoth records, we have founded a support group to help each other come to terms with this shock. Here is the letter that gave us a glimmer of hope a few days after the event:

"Dear friends,

on Wednesday night i was DEEPLY shocked/stunned+saddened to learn of the untimely demise of the legendary phenomenom that was FUCKS***K, due to creative and Musical differences.

FUCKS***K were the pioneers and sole proponents of the glasgow 'SPIT-IN-MY-EYE!!SPIT-IN-MY-EYE!!!!!!' style of goni-fuckin-stab-ye noise-bastard performance terrorism, the ultimate boy-band subversion.

Their performances at Consume have been the cause of some of my most dearly treasured mental scars. Their works have been the funniest, saddest, most moving, uplifting and universally truthful works of art to have been created since caveperson first banged 2 stones together.

Yet throughout their illustrious career they shunned the limelight religiously, allowing third rate copycat chancers such as the Model Citizen, Inversion and Texas to steal their thunder, while they remained true to their underground roots.

To celebrate their memory and keep their dreams and vision alive, Alistair D/compute and myself will be forming a tribute band called DICKFUCK.

I know its not much of a consolation, but... try to find it in your heart to support our conquest to turn the world onto the 'S***K's philosphies and hopefully some day maybe even persuade a renunion.

If anyone else out there would like to pay tribute to that bunch of stupid fuckers as i affectionately like to call them, then please get in touch and we'll stage a memorial tribute concert in the near future. Lets do it for the greatest band in the world ever!!..
