Live music: promoters / listings / venues / guides, etc Cabaret Voltaire (Edinburgh - venue) - the worst venue you could ever imagine (the worst I've ever used for sure), avoid them if you can!!! if you're planning a small scale Edinburgh gig, I would suggest the Subway, Caledonian Backpackers or Bannerman's, cheaper to hire and at least you know you won't be let down at the last minute because they think the turn-out is not gonna be sufficient, and the soundman wll always make a point of being there on time.
